The building at 130 Cedar Street was damaged in the collapse of the WTC twin towers. Laval Construction managed the full environmental remediation of all World Trade Center dust, asbestos & other hazardous materials, extensive structural demolition, addition of 8 steel-frame stories to the existing 13 story building, installation of a new façade, construction of 421 hotel rooms including all MEP, finishes, and FF&E, and construction of the Terrace Club Restaurant overlooking Ground Zero. This was accomplished while sharing a street with the project to demolish the 130 Liberty (Deutsche Bank) skyscraper.
